Harry 4th Birthday
We celebrated B’s 4th birthday three days early on Sunday, we celebrated Gryffindor style with a few close friends and family. The day turned out beautifully, the sun was shinning and the rain stayed away thankfully, but B was feeling a little under the weather unfortunately. He managed to devour a Golden Snitch cake pop, dress up in his new Quidditch costume for a good few minutes and show of his Harry skills. The rest of the day he stayed close to myself and family watching everyone else dive into the dessert table and finger foods but he was fast to open gifts and blow out his candles which we did twice of course.
Although he felt under the weather and still is, the excitement and happiness that radiated from his sweet face when he saw his Harry Potter cake totally warmed my heart. It’s hard to get a choice out of him with his ASD, he will normally just repeat both choices asked, so when he told me he wanted a Harry Potter cake I made sure I delivered.
